What to Expect from Us
We like to meet with potential clients to ﬁnd out where they are at in the home buying process. It is in this no obligation consultation, where we learn a little about you. We discuss your lifestyle, your budget and your wish list. You will also learn all about us and what we do. It’s your chance to ask us any questions that you may have about buying a home, and to see if we would work well together. Your real estate agent is someone you could be spending alot of time with, you're going to want to make sure it is someone(s), that you enjoy being around.
When you work with us, we commit our attention to you. As Property Matchmakers, we play an integral role in the home buying process for every one of our clients. We will continually consult with you to: clarify your wants versus needs, highlight both the positive and negative features of the home and accurately assess a property’s value. No two clients are the same, therefore we create a custom plan specific for each party. We are constantly searching MLS listings for our clients as well as previewing the homes we feel may be of interest to them. Your time is valuable, our job is to make this process as easy as possible for you.
How to Find the Right Agent
If someone (friends/family) refers you to an agent, chances are that they are good. Nobody would refer someone that they had a bad experience with, especially when you see them often.
Finding the right agent requires that you are able to tell the difference between the “sales” agent and the “consultant”. An agent who has the “sale” personality focuses more on how much you have to spend, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. They don’t require that you sign a Buyer Rep. Agreement and they will put you on an automated drip to receive emails of homes that hit the market. They will tell you to call them when you see one you like. On the other hand there is the “consultant” agent, who will probe a lot deeper and try to understand you and your lifestyle. They will want to know where you see yourself in the next few years, and will insist on sitting down with you to get to know you better.
The “consultant” will be interviewing you as well just so you know, to make sure that you are someone they can work well with. Be prepared for a two way conversation.
